MLIS-Jinan is one of many schools with Maple Leaf Educational Systems (MLES), which has been operating in education since 1995. Our campus is located in the Zhangqiu district and was jointly built by MLES and the local government. Using an educational philosophy that “blends the best of Western and Chinese education”, our grade 1-9 curriculum is delivered bilingually in both English and Chinese with a focus on student well-being and the development of positive learning habits, and our high school offers the World School Curriculum.

The World School Curriculum is a home-grown curriculum designed to meet the needs of our Chinese learners. MLIS-JN teachers aim to facilitate a safe student-centered environment that empowers learners into becoming future global leaders. The World School curriculum focuses on helping students acquire a global perspective and develops their capacity in leadership and creative thinking. After completing our high school program, students can apply to any English university in the world.

Our campus has a wide range of facilities available to suit the needs of different learners. Among the many classrooms on our teaching buildings, there is also a calligraphy room, a Go room (a type of chess game), a sand painting room, a fully equipped music floor, and a gymnasium. A two-storey cafeteria caters for the 1000+ students and teachers on campus with varying menu items throughout the week.

In their classes, our students are often involved in group work and presentations. They are given multiple ways to express their learning through speeches, plays, tests, quizzes, and research projects to name a few. Through their studies, our students grow into capable, confident, young leaders ready to make a positive impact in the world.
