English Language Courses

Students are required to meet threshold English language requirements before studying the English academic program. Maple Leaf has formulated both a “Maple Leaf ESL Curriculum Standard” and a “Maple Leaf ESL Assessment Benchmark”, which include 9 levels. Maple Leaf ESL Assessment Benchmark is benchmarked with CEFR and IELTS. MELT Level 9 is equivalent to IELTS band score 5.0, surpassing the average high school graduation level. The Maple Leaf English appropriate teaching materials, resources, exams, and question banks have also been developed. All of these guarantee that students learn English, learn in English, and think in English.
