Dr. Harriett Lara has had the honor and privilege to work alongside scholars and teachers throughout her 24 years as an educator focusing on improving literacy for all students. She has worked as an elementary and middle school ESL, English, and Social Studies teacher and as an Instructional Reading Specialist for Houston ISD. Recently, she has been a high school administrator in Houston, Texas for the past 12 years. She received her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston-Central Park, her Master of Art in Educational Administration & Supervision from the University of Phoenix and her Doctorate in Educational Leadership & Management from St. Thomas University. She is honored and excited to be joining the Maple Leaf family this 2023-2024 school year!
