My name is Andrew Quach and I’m the principal of the International Program at Maple Leaf International School – Jinan (MLIS-Jinan). It’s my pleasure to welcome you to our school!
We have a beautiful campus and a staff here that is dedicated in providing students with the best learning opportunities possible. Our school creates a diverse, dynamic, and engaging learning environment where students feel safe, supported, and empowered to fully develop their abilities, interests, and creative talents. We provide an optimal environment for learning and teaching and offer globally respected curricula that inspires in its students the spirit and ideals of global citizenship. We encourage all students to be involved in the life of the school: join a club, be active in sports, and endeavor to be the best you can be. They use every opportunity they can to speak, read, write, and listen to English.
Teachers arrive on campus for a 7:30am homeroom session where students are engaged in Read Theory, an online reading platform that caters to individual reading levels. Classes begin at 8:00am, and teachers instruct four 65-minute lessons per day and have one daily prep block. After block 5, teachers either offer tutorial sessions or sponsor clubs for students on different days of the week. We are a tightly-knit small-but-mighty staff who are always supportive of each other and show school spirit together whenever possible.
