It is my pleasure to welcome students to Maple Leaf North America’s newly opened LakeheadU campus, located in beautiful Thunder Bay, Ontario. Situated on Lakehead University campus, ML-LakeheadU is our first Ontario based school that will offer a selection of Ontario secondary school credit courses. Our school’s mission is to blend the best educational practices of both Canada and the world by offering a high quality educational program. We encourage our students to create a diverse, dynamic, and engaging learning environment where individuals feel safe, supported, and empowered to fully develop their abilities, interests and creative talents. We respect and promote the cultural norms and traditions of all the people within our community. We expect a high level of commitment from you - to your studies and those around you.

We encourage our teachers to provide an optimal environment for learning and offer globally respected curriculum that inspires in our students the spirit and ideals of global citizenship. Our teachers assume that every student has a strong desire to learn and to develop an understanding of the world, to share their knowledge, and to communicate their understanding, thoughts and feelings through wide ranging personal expression.

Safety and student achievement are our most important priorities for all students at Maple Leaf School – LakeheadU. It takes effort and cooperation from all of us – administrators, teachers, students, parents, and community – to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all students at our school.
