Maple Leaf School - KPU

Maple Leaf School - KPU (MLS-KPU) is located on the Richmond campus of Kwantlen Polytechnic University. This is the second Maple Leaf school to open in Canada, building on the success of our schools in China and our first Canadian school which opened in Kamloops, BC in 2016. Our schools in British Columbia are accredited as Independent Schools by the BC Ministry of Education.

Located on the campus of Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Richmond, BC, this learning environment offers students the opportunity to immerse themselves in English and in a Canadian educational environment. Students complete the BC graduation program curriculum preparing them for further studies at KPU and in universities around the world. While focusing on academic achievement and studies in English, our students also have the option to enroll in Mandarin language and Chinese social studies courses giving them an academic advantage in their post-secondary applications.

Principal’s Welcome Message

It is with pleasure that I welcome you to Maple Leaf School - KPU. We recognize there are many institutions you could choose for your studies and are pleased you are interested in MLS-KPU.

Maple Leaf School - KPU offers the British Columbia senior secondary high school curriculum to a growing group of students. Our young school has a promising future located within the Richmond campus of Kwantlen Polytechnic University as it offers students access to first class science, library, and PE facilities.

While studying at MLS-KPU, students will be challenged to spend their time beyond their ’comfort zone’ both inside and outside the classroom. We encourage students to take time to reflect on who they are and who they are trying to become, to develop new ways of thinking and understanding and to participate in activities they have never tried.

Most important of all, we want our students to confidently engage in the learning process and connect with different people through their studies. The Maple Leaf community is diverse in perspectives, talents, ambitions, and backgrounds. Students graduate from our program with a strong academic foundation and are well prepared for success within their university studies.

I encourage you to spend some time to get to know Maple Leaf School and all that it offers. Whoever you are, whatever you do, however you do it, Maple Leaf School is a place where you can flourish.
