Our Achievements
- Maple Leaf has graduated more than 2,400 grade 12 students with British Columbia high school diplomas over the past 11 years. These graduates have been accepted into 269 universities/colleges in 18 countries around the world. Over 40% of Maple Leaf graduates have been accepted into the world’s top-rated 200 universities.
- In June 2009, more than 550 Maple Leaf grade 12 students graduated with British Columbia high school (Dogwood) diplomas. Nearly 100% of Maple Leaf’s graduates were admitted to western universities. They are enrolled in 165 universities/colleges around the world.
- Nearly 100 percent of Maple Leaf’s June 2007, 2008 and 2009 high school graduates who applied, successfully obtained study permits/student visas to Canada.
- 60 western universities attended the November 2008 Maple Leaf Student Recruitment Fair in Dalian, China, to recruit Maple Leaf’s grade 12 students.
- The University of Alberta offered approximately $500,000 CAD (more than 3 Million RMB) in scholarships to Maple Leaf Grade 12 students.
- In 2007, 38 of the 43 students enrolled in Advanced Placement (AP) Calculus 12 scored 5 (the highest score possible).
- In 2006, the Dalian Maple Leaf International School, Jinshitan Campus was designated a Model School for the Teaching of Advanced Placement (AP) Calculus by the Advanced Placement Board in the USA.
- 25 Percent of Maple Leaf s students received Certificates of Honour and 13 Maple Leaf students scored in the top 10 percent of all students writing the Canadian International Physics Competition in 2006.
- Maple Leaf has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOUS) with more than 40 western universities. The MOUS permit Maple Leaf high school graduates to enter universities based on high school marks. No additional English language testing (e.g. TOEFL or IELTS) is required.
- More than 20 student teachers from UBC, SFU and UVIC will complete student teaching practica at the Dalian and Wuhan Maple Leaf International Schools during the 2009-2010 school year.
