Chongqing Maple Leaf International High School is still accepting student applications for ESL and Grade 10 for the 2009-10 school year. The school opened September 2009 in its large and attractive campus located in the heart of the Chongqing Economic Development Area.
The Chongqing Maple Leaf International High School can accommodate more than 1,500 students.
BC Ministry of Education and Chongqing government officials signed a Memorandum of Understanding on November 7, 2008 and attended the Chongqing Maple Leaf International School’s ground-breaking ceremony on November 8, 2008. The meetings in Chongqing included a meeting with Mr. Bo Xilai, former mayor Dalian, who became governor of Liaoning province, then National Minister of Commerce and International Trade and now is a member of the Politburo.
