SCHOOL & COMMUNITY

Maple Leaf International School- Zhenjiang is accredited by Cognia, the largest school accrediting agency globally. Upon graduation, our students hold MLWS Diplomas, which offer dual accreditation and global recognition.

We have approximately 300 students with a graduating class of approximately 100. Throughout the year we build on our school values of Respect, Responsibility, Honesty and Hard Work to ensure the students of Maple Leaf develop the skills, knowledge and attitudes to enable future success.

CURRICULUM

The Maple Leaf World School Program (MLWSP) is a university preparation English language High School Program designed for international and domestic learners. The innovative curriculum emphasizes academic excellence through a diverse, dynamic, engaging learning curriculum that includes higher level thinking skills and inquiry-based learning resulting in students being prepared for success at reputable universities and as contributing global leaders and citizens.

ASSESSMENT

MLWSP utilizes the following marking and reporting standards:

GPA CALCULATION

In MLWSP schools, GPA is calculated using grade 10 and 11 courses. The GPA is calculated on a 100-point scale. Full semester and linear courses are given a credit weight of 1.0 and half semester courses a credit weight of 0.5 for GPA calculation. AP courses do not carry additional weighting. Chinese and MLWSC courses are weighted equally.

Any results from Grade 12 are listed in a report card and the official transcripts from Maple Leaf Educational Systems (MLES). Grade 12 results are not part of our GPA calculation.

Since the opening of MLIS-Zhenjiang in 2011, more than 400 students have successfully graduated from this campus and are currently attending colleges and universities around the world.
