Thank you for visiting Wuhan Maple Leaf International School on-line. We welcome you, and appreciate your virtual visit. We
encourage you to visit our Wuhan High School campus in person, at your convenience. We would be pleased to give you a tour of the campus.
Wuhan is the third high school to be opened and operated by Maple Leaf Educational Systems in China. The School’s program reflects the vision and purpose of Mr. Sherman Jen, the founder, to provide a quality educational program that “Blends the Best of East and West”.
The Wuhan Maple Leaf International School (grades 10-12) and the Wuhan Maple Leaf Foreign Nationals School (K-9) serving 720 students are both located on a beautiful 67-acre property surrounding a small lake, in the New Technology Development Zone of Wuhan, ideally suited for delivering a British Columbia, Canada certified high school graduation program.
The British Columbia program offered at Wuhan Maple Leaf International School is led by a BC certified principal and students are taught in English by 35 BC certified teachers. British Columbia’s Ministry of Education conducts annual, on-site inspections of the school and certifies its educational program as one that meets British Columbia standards and learning outcomes. Maple Leaf high school students are enrolled with the BC Ministry of Education, and complete the same courses, are assessed by the same standards, meet the same learning outcomes and write the same Grade 10, 11 and 12 provincial examinations required by all students in British Columbia. The first Wuhan Maple Leaf Grade 12 graduates in 2010 will receive the Ministry of Education Certificate of Graduation (Dogwood Diploma) and will be issued the official provincial transcripts the same as British Columbia, Canada, Grade 12 resident graduates. More than 2000 students have successfully graduated from Maple Leaf schools and continued on to attend 261 universities and colleges around the world.
