School History
On March 1, 2007 Maple Leaf Educational Systems opened the Wuhan Maple Leaf International
School in temporary quarters provided by the Wuhan Government. By September a beautiful new school
that housed the International School and the Wuhan Maple Leaf Foreign Nationals School was
completed on a picturesque 270,000 square meter property surrounding a small lake in the East Lake New Technology Development Zone.
A Public Opening Ceremony was held in our new school facility on September 3, 2007.
Wuhan Maple Leaf International School was certified as a British Columbia Offshore school beginning in the 2007 school year.
The school operates as a fully functioning facility offering an English High School program and an ESL preparation program. The program is delivered by British Columbia certified teachers. Students will earn a British Columbia high school (Dogwood) diploma that gives them access to universities in Canada, the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Europe and Asia.
In January 2009, the school moved across the campus property to its present permanent site which comprise a five-story teaching building, a three-storey cafeteria-gymnasium complex, three dormitory buildings, outdoor athletic courts, track, and artificial turf field.
