Language Electives Department
In order to support students who are not ready to begin instruction in English in the full Grade 10 program, our school offers a variety of language electives programs designed to improve their English skills so they will meet with success in their studies. Courses which improve listening, speaking, reading and writing are offered at 2 levels. The Foundations level is designed for students who require more support in their learning. When competency at the Foundations level is established, students then move on to the Bridging classes. These are designed to further improve skills and subjects such as Language Arts, Social Studies, Science and Math will help to prepare students for their entrance into full Grade 10.
