On March 1, 2007 Maple Leaf Educational Systems opened the Wuhan Maple Leaf Foreign Nationals School (K-9) in temporary quarters provided by the Wuhan government. By September a beautiful new Foreign Nationals School was completed on a picturesque 270,000 square meter property surrounding a small lake in the East Lake High Tech Development Zone.
A public opening ceremony was held in the new school facility on September 3, 2007. The Assistant Deputy Minister and Inspector of Independent and Offshore Schools for the Ministry of Education: British Columbia, Canada were present at the ceremony, as were various Chinese government officials from the East Lake High Tech Development Zone, Wuhan City and Hubei Province.
Wuhan Maple Leaf Foreign Nationals School operates as a fully functioning facility offering an English primary, intermediate and middle school program.
