ESL Program

English as a second language instruction is provided in a variety of ways dependent on the age of the child and his or her English language level.

Typically students in primary experience an environment rich in oral language and develop significant fluency from the regular classroom setting. Students in the intermediate and middle school years also receive in-class language support from the classroom teacher.

Where necessary, students may be placed in a “Foundations” program for part of the day to develop proficiency and return to the classroom for full days as their abilities develop.
