Mrs. Cathy Broughton

Primary Teacher

Cathy is from Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. She graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Education degree, focusing in Early Childhood Education. She has been teaching for twenty years and still loves it. Cathy is enjoying teaching in China and learning about the many cultures of her students.

Ms. Sarah Galbraith

Grade 7 Teacher: Information Technology, Math

Sarah attended Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia where she earned a Bachelor of Education degree in Curriculum Design and Intercultural Education and a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies and Child Psychology. Sarah has studied French in Quebec, Canada and enjoys Cardio-kickboxing. She also teaches Information Technology and Math 10 in the Wuhan Maple Leaf International High School.

Ms. Evelyn Lau

Grade 7 Teacher: Science

Did you know that there are more stars in the universe than there are grains of sand on all the beaches in the world? Evelyn has always been fascinated by the mystery and complexity of the world around us, and that is why she decided to become a Science teacher. Born in Hong Kong, China, Evelyn emigrated to Vancouver, Canada at the age of 12. She holds Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education degrees from the University of British Columbia.

Ms. Tania Marques

Grade 7 Teacher: Language Arts, Drama, Foundations

Tania attended the University of British Columbia– Okanagan where she earned a Bachelor of Education degree. Tania teaches drama in Wuhan Maple Leaf International High School as well. She is enjoying the new experience of living and working in China.

Mrs. Sandy McKillop

Elementary Teacher: Music

Sandy lived in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada before moving to Wuhan. Her undergraduate degree is in General Studies from the University of Calgary. In 2007 she completed her Education degree at the University of British Columbia-Okanagan. She is enjoying her teaching experience at Wuhan Maple Leaf Foreign Nationals School.

Ms. Mandy Sousa

Grade 7 Teacher: Social Studies, Planning, PE, Foundation

Mandy grew up in British Columbia, Canada and graduated from the University of British Columbia–Okanagan with a Bachelor of Education degree. This is her first time in China and she enjoys experiencing the country and culture

Ms. Renee Stollery

Librarian

Renee is from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. She has worked in libraries for many years and in 2006 graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a degree in Library Science. Last year, she worked in the Shenyang Maple International Leaf School as librarian and ESL teacher. She has enjoyed her time in China and looks forward to getting to know Wuhan and all the wonderful Wuhan staff and students.

Ms. Becky Vandenberg

Grade 4-6 Teacher

Becky earned Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences and Bachelor of Education degrees from Kings University in Edmonton, Alberta. She has taught grade five for three years in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada and is excited to be teaching intermediate grades in the Wuhan Maple Leaf Foreign Nationals School.
