Thank you for visiting Tianjin (TEDA) Maple Leaf International School on-line. We welcome you, and appreciate your virtual
visit. We invite you to visit our Tianjin School campus in person, at your convenience. We would be pleased to give you a tour of the campus.
Tianjin is the fourth high school to be opened and operated by Maple Leaf Educational Systems in China. The School’s program reflects the vision of Mr. Sherman Jen, the founder, who had the vision and proposed to provide a quality educational program “Blending the Best of East and West”.
The Tianjin (TEDA) Maple Leaf International School (ESL and grades 10-12) and the quality Chinese Elementary (K-6) and Middle (7-9) Schools serving 638 students are located on this beautiful campus located in the TEDA (Tianjin Economic Development Area) ideally suited to offer the British Columbia, Canada certified graduation program.
The BC program is led by a BC certified principal and students are taught in English by more than 125 BC certified teachers. British Columbia’s Ministry of Education conducts annual, on-site inspections of the school and certifies its educational program as one that meets British Columbia standards and learning outcomes. Maple Leaf high school students are enrolled with the BC Ministry of Education, and complete the same courses, are assessed by the same standards, meet the same learning outcomes and write the same Grade 10, 11 and 12 provincial examinations required by all students in British Columbia. The first Tianjin (TEDA) Maple Leaf Grade 12 graduates in 2011 will receive the Ministry of Education Certificate of Graduation (Dogwood Diploma) and will be issued the official provincial transcripts the same as British Columbia, Canada, Grade 12 resident graduates. More than 2000 students have successfully graduated from Maple Leaf schools and continued on to attend 261 universities and colleges around the world.
