School History

In May 2008 Maple Leaf Educational Systems purchased the Tianjin (TEDA) Maple Leaf International School campus. Classes began on September 1, 2008 in this renovated, striking 98,000 sq. metre (24 acre) property.

Tianjin (TEDA) Maple Leaf International School operates quality Chinese K-6 and grade 7-9 programs, a high school ESL Program and a British Columbia, Canada certified grade 10-12 program.

The BC high school program is delivered in English by BC-certified teachers. High school students are enrolled as British Columbia, Canada students. Grade 12 graduating Chinese students will earn both Tianjin, China and British Columbia, Canada (Dogwood) high school diplomas. The BC high school diploma is recognized by all universities in all western countries as a high school diploma of quality.

Over 500 students enrolled in Tianjin (TEDA) Maple Leaf International School in its first year of operation. Now in it's second year, there are over 650 students enrolled. The enrollment of the high school has doubled. After two years of successful operation in TEDA, it is anticipated that the School will continue to grow rapidly in numbers.
