our hectic campus life.

The House Leagues

New to our school this year are the House Leagues on each campus. All students belong to a
particular "House". Throughout the school year there will be a variety of competitions. Students will compete

after-school clubs. Cooking, English Corner and, of course, Ball Hockey are among the more popular clubs.
Halloween
October, 2010
For the not-faint-of-heart, Halloween provides teachers and students alike with the opportunity
to exorcise a few demons. This year was filled with the usual array of goblins and ghouls. However, the Crayola
singers were the big hit of the evening festivities.
University Recruitment Fair
November, 2010
We have just finished our annual University Fair. Forty-seven universities and colleges from
all over Canada, the U.S. and other parts of the world attended to recruit Maple Leaf students to their institutions.
The purpose of the fair is to give students and their parents an opportunity to get first-hand information about the post-secondary institutions that may attend. Of equal importance, students can make early application to an institution, the first step in obtaining a conditional offer of admittance.
Although students can visit a university's website, meeting representatives from university in-person allows students to ask questions about the university and university life that would not be answered on the website.
