Student Council “Blue Day”
Our Student Council, made up of children from grades 5-9 is very active. Recently they organized a “Blue Day” to foster school spirit and as you can see, everyone got involved and had fun.
Christmas Concerts
Under the direction of our music teacher, the Dalian Maple Leaf Foreign National School’s Christmas concerts were huge successes. Our first concert, hosted by the Dalian Shangri La Hotel, provided a beautiful venue for our students to perform. The evening ended with families enjoying appetizers and drinks.
Our second, was a typical Canadian Christmas Concert. The School gymnasium was decorated with
student’s artwork and many families took pictures of their children. A wonderful
afternoon performance was enjoyed by all.
The Letters have Arrived
Many of our classes have pen pals in Canada and there is real excitement when the new packages of letters
arrive. As future global citizens, having the opportunity to learn about another country
through the eyes of a student of a similar age is very valuable and leads to important discussions
and insights.
