Extra Curricular Activities

For many students, one of the highlights of the week is club days. Twice a week students take part in self-selected clubs, each running for 5 to 7 weeks. Students choose from activities such as soccer, basketball, floor hockey, knitting, yoga, dance, choir, math games, mad science, etc. The clubs provide students with opportunities to develop new skills, practice their English in a more social situation, and interact in cross-grade groups. Maple Leaf believes that children learn better when they feel safe and have a sense of belonging. Activities such as these strengthen the sense of community in our school and help children to get to know and appreciate one another. Parents are invited to take part by helping with a club or by leading one.
