Ms. Arlene Racicot
School Principal
Ms. Racicot has 16 years of experience as a school principal in British Columbia, Canada. She has many years of experience as an elementary and secondary school teacher, school district subject coordinator, and curriculum specialist with British Columbia's Ministry of Education. She has provided professional development for teachers on a variety of subjects for her school district, Simon Fraser University and provincial Ministry of Education. Her wealth of teaching and administrative leadership is a valuable asset as educational leader of Dalian Maple Leaf Foreign Nationals School. This is Ms. Racicot’s second year as principal of Dalian Maple Leaf Foreign Nationals School.
Ms. Jennifer Lee
Administration Director
Ms. Lee graduated from Wuhan University with a dual diploma in economics and law. She went to England for post-graduate studies at Hull University and earned her Masters of Business Administration degree there. She is responsible for daily administration of the Foreign Nationals School.
Ms. Siobain Dowle
Preschool Teacher
Ms. Dowle is from Vancouver, Canada. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Education with a focus on Early Primary from the University of British Columbia.
Ms. Pamela Yee
Kindergarten/Gr.1 Teacher
Miss Yee is from Surrey, BC, Canada. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, specializing in French, from Simon Fraser University. A year later, she graduated with a Bachelor of Education, with a minor in Curriculum and Instruction. During this year, she was able to partake in the International Education module where she spent some time teaching in Trinidad & Tobago. Last year, Miss Yee worked as a Teacher-On-Call in Delta, BC, Canada and now, is excited about teaching and living in China!
Ms. Bernadette Dowle
Ms. Dowle is from North Vancouver, BC, Canada. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology at the University of McGill, and has a Bachelor of Education in Fine Arts and Media from the University of British Columbia. Last year she taught Grade 10 Science and Math at the Dalian Maple Leaf High School in Jinshitan.
Miss Marly Cramer
Grade 3 / 4 Teacher
Miss Marly is from Victoria, BC. She graduated from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, BC with a degree in General Studies and a minor in International and Global Education. She has experience teaching multicultural classes in Canada and Mexico, as well as the last 2 years at our school.
Ms. Mary Aspler
Grade 3/4 Teacher
Ms. Mary Aspler is from Edmonton, Aberta, Canada. She graduated from the University of Alberta with a B.A. in Linguistics. She also holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of British Columbia.
Ms. Jessica MacGillivray
Primary/Intermediate Foundations Teacher
Ms. MacGillivray is from Victoria, B.C. Canada. She graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of British Columbia in 2005. This is her third year living and working in Dalian, China. Two years ago, Ms. MacGillivray taught Grade 10 English and Social Studies at the Jinshitan Campus. She has specialized experience teaching primary classes in BC, as well as last year at our school.
Ms. Erin Chester
Grade 5/6 Teacher
Ms. Chester comes from Maple Ridge, BC, Canada. She graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Education, with a focus on International and Global Education. She has taught in Trinidad and Tobago and in Maple Ridge, BC. Last year she taught a Grade 1/2 combined class and then started the preschool program here at the Foreign Nationals School.
Ms. Lael Sleep

Ms. Sleep is from Vancouver, Canada. She graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and she holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of British Columbia. This is her second year teaching at our school.
Ms. Kari Churches

Ms. Churches is from Victoria, British Columbia. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Victoria. She has experience teaching diverse students in multicultural environments.
Ms. Grace Kim
Grade 7 Teacher
Ms. Kim is a returning teacher from Vancouver, British Columbia. She holds Bachelor of Arts in History and Bachelor of Education degrees from the University of British Columbia. She has experience teaching English as a second language and multi-age classroom settings. She is fluent in French and has some knowledge of Korean.
Ms. Erin McLean
Grade 8/9 Teacher
Miss McLean is from Trail, BC. She attended the University of British Columbia - Okanangan where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in History and minor in English. She also received her teaching certificate with a specialization in middle school education from UBC. This is her first year at our school.
Ms. Cecilia Sun

Ms. Sun is from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of British Columbia. This is her first year working with Dalian Maple Leaf Foreign Nationals School.
Mr. Chad Benson
Grade 7/8 Foundation Teacher
Mr. Benson is from Sioux City, Iowa, United States of America. He graduated from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with a Middle School Endorsement. Along with his passion for teaching, he brings with him previous cross-cultural experience from Kenya, Africa. This is his second year at our school.
Mr. Damon Forster
Grade 8/9 Foundations Teacher
Mr. Damon Forster is from Vancouver, BC, Canada. He completed his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education at the University of British Columbia. Mr. Forster specialized in teaching ESL and has been teaching ESL for three years. He has traveled to Korea twice to teach and travel.

Mrs. Ruth Beeke is from Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada. She has been involved in education for more than 30 years. She is currently serving as our school librarian.

Music Teacher
Shi-shi Cai graduated from the School of Music of Northeast Normal University in 2004 with a Bachelor Degree. She majored in Piano performance and Pedagogy. She received her Masters Degree in July 2007. During her study, Shi-shi Cai went to Shenyang Conservatory of Music for advanced piano study and obtained her Certificate Degree.
