Mark Wilkins
School Principal
Mark Wilkins has 21 years of experience as a school principal at the elementary and high school levels in British Columbia, Canada. He also has many years of experience as an elementary and secondary school teacher and vice-principal. Mr. Wilkins has been a member on various committees of the British Columbia Principals’ and Vice Principals’ Association. Mr. Wilkins has also provided a number of Parental Strategy Workshops for school and community parents over the past 20 years. His wealth of teaching and administrative leadership makes him a valuable asset in his role as educational leader of Dalian Maple Leaf Foreign National School. He welcomes the opportunity to work with the students, parents and community in his new role as principal of DMLFNS.
Ms. Wen Liu
Administrative Director
Ms. Liu graduated from Bournemouth University (UK) in 2005. She has been working for Maple Leaf Educational Systems since 2006. She worked at the high school campuses in both Dalian and Wuhan. She is administrative director in Dalian Maple Leaf Foreign National School.
Ms. Bei Peng
Preschool Teacher
Ms. Peng is from Coquitlam, BC, Canada. She graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Elementary Education as well as a specialization in Early Childhood Education. She has experience working with early primary students, intermediate students, as well as students with special needs. This will be her first year teaching at DMLFNS and she is looking forward to teaching her diverse class.
Ms. Monica Wu
Kindergarten Teacher
Ms. Wu is from Toronto, Canada. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, specializing in English Linguistics, and a Bachelor of Education with specialization in Special Education from University of British Columbia in Vancouver. This is her second year teaching Kindergarten at DMLFNS and she enjoys working with people around the world.
Ms. Marly Cramer
Grade 1 Teacher
Miss Marly graduated with a Bachelor in General Studies with a Minor in International and Global Education from Simon Fraser University in BC. She has had the opportunity to teach at multiple grade levels from Kindergarten to Grade 5. Miss Marly has entered her seventh year teaching for Maple Leaf and has really enjoyed collaborating with people from all over the world!
Mrs. Jessica Jensen
Grade 2 Teacher
Mrs. Jensen is from Victoria, B.C. Canada. She graduated with a Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia in 2005. She has 6 years teaching experience at all elementary school grade levels. Mrs. Jensen considers it a privilege to be a member of the DMLFNS staff and looks forward to an exciting and rewarding year.
Ms. Rachel Goshulak
Grade 3 Teacher
Ms. Goshulak is from Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of British Columbia. She also holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of British Columbia. She was working at the DMLIS high school campus in Jinshitan before coming to work at the Dalian Maple Leaf Foreign Nationals School. She likes to spend her spare time jogging, swimming, and traveling.
Ms. Sara Ferguson
Grade 4 Teacher
Ms. Ferguson grew up in Thunder Bay, Ontario and moved to Vancouver, BC to go to university. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Life and Earth Sciences) and Bachelor of Education (Elementary focus) from the University of British Columbia. She has taught grades 3/4, 5, and 6/7 in practicum placements, and has worked with elementary and high school-aged students with learning disabilities at an alternative education school in Vancouver. Last year Ms. Ferguson worked at DMLFNS as a TA, teaching ESL, grade 6 math, and covering for other teachers when they were away. Ms. Ferguson loves to read, hike, and knit.
Ms. Asia Garnett
Grade 5 Teacher
Ms. Garnett is from Grand Forks, BC. She completed her Bachelor of Arts at the University of British Columbia, and has a Bachelor of Education from Simon Fraser University. She has taught in Mexico, Canada, and China, and tutored Korean students one-on-one. Outside of teaching, she loves going on scenic bike rides and spending time outdoors.
Miss Tina Ho
Grade 6 Teacher
Ms. Ho is from Vancouver, British Columbia and has been teaching in China at Dalian Maple Leaf International School for the last 6 years. She obtained both her Bachelors of Arts degree in English and Bachelors of Elementary Education degree from the University of British Columbia. She is also in the process of completing her Master’s Degree in Education. Aside from teaching, Ms. Ho loves to travel, meet new people, and accept new challenges. After teaching at the high school for 5 years, she is delighted and thrilled to be back in the elementary setting at DMLFNS.
Mr. Jeffrey Webster
Grade 7 Teacher
Mr. Webster comes from Coquitlam, BC, Canada. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Victoria, with a major in History. He completed a Bachelor of Education degree at the University of British Columbia with a specialization in elementary years teaching. Two years ago Mr. Webster left the Foreign Nationals School to work at the Maple Leaf High School in Jinshitan and is enjoying his return to DMLFNS. He likes to spend his spare time playing and watching hockey.
Ms. Erin McLean
Grade 8 Teacher
Ms. McLean is originally from Trail, British Columbia. She attended the University of British Columbia-Okanagan where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in History and minor in English, as well as her teaching certificate. This is her fifth year with the Dalian Maple Leaf Foreign National School.
Mr. Arca
Grade 9 Teacher
Mr. Arca is from Edmonton, Alberta. He graduated with a BSc in Environmental Biology from the University of Alberta, before getting a Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia. His love of learning and teaching brought him initially to Japan and now China. This is his fourth year at Dalian Maple Leaf Foreign National School.
Ms. Catherine Gillis
Music and Band Teacher
This is Ms. Gillis’ second year at our school. She came to Dalian from Victoria, British Columbia. Ms. Gillis is the music and band teacher at DMLFNS. This year, she is also teaching Grade 2 one day a week. Her primary instrument is the French horn, which she studied at the University of Victoria. This is also where she completed her Education degree. Her hobbies include travel, cooking, photography and, of course, making music!
Mrs. Cindy Wilkins
Teacher Assistant and Librarian
Mrs. Wilkins is from Kimberley, British Columbia, Canada. Mrs. Wilkins has 25 years of experience in the education system as an employee of School District No.6 (Rocky Mountain). Mrs. Wilkins is a teacher assistant in the primary grades and is also the school librarian at Dalian Maple Leaf Foreign National School. She enjoys spending time with her family and travelling.
Ms. Stephanie Ramos
ESL Teacher/Teacher Assistant
Ms. Ramos is from the Philippines, where English is the official language. She holds a Bachelor of Mass Communication degree from the University of the City of Manila and graduated with honors and awards. She started teaching ESL in the Philippines before she came to China. She has been teaching ESL for 7 years now to diverse students in multicultural environments from kindergarten to university students through to retirees. She has been enjoying living and working in China for the last 6 years. Ms. Ramos is fond of learning languages and traveling.
Ms. Jennifer Wang
Mandarin Teacher
Ms. Wang is a Chinese-certified Mandarin Language teacher. She has previous experience teaching Mandarin to foreign students of various ages.
Ms. Suki Guo
Mandarin Teacher
Ms. Guo graduated form Dalian Nationalities University. She is a Chinese-certified Mandarin language teacher. She likes history, politics and literature. She has experience teaching Mandarin to foreign students.
Ms. Angel Meng
Mandarin Teacher
Ms. Meng is a Chinese-certified Mandarin Language teacher. She has been a teacher for eight years. Ms. Meng enjoys reading as a hobby.
Ms. Amy lin
Preschool Assistant
Ms. lin is the preschool’s assistant. She has previous experience in Chinese preschool and teaching English to students, ranging in age from 3 to 6 years old, for 4 years.

Miss Zeng is secretary for the Principal. She graduated from Dalian University of Foreign Languages with a major in English.

MS. Wang is the office administration secretary. She graduated from Dalian Foreign Language University with a major in Korean.

Ms. Yin is the office administration secretary. She graduated from Dalian Foreign Language University with a major in Korean and Japanese.
